5-Step Toilet Install Process

DELIVERY

Toilets are heavy and awkward to move, often weighing between 70 and 100 pounds. Their shape makes lifting and positioning tricky. We make it easy by bringing the model you choose straight to your door—no need to worry about transport or heavy lifting.

INSPECTION

Before we install your new model, we carefully inspect the shut-off valve, toilet flange, and surrounding area for any signs of leaks or water damage. We also check the condition of the subfloor to make sure it’s structurally sound. This extra step helps ensure a safe, stable, and long-lasting installation with no surprises down the line.

INSTALL

No matter which unit you choose, every toilet install comes with a premium water supply line, a wax ring, and a heavy-duty hardware kit. If you're looking for toilet installation near me, we can professionally assemble and install your new unit, check for proper function, and finish the job with a clean, even bead of caulk. Once everything’s set, we’ll tidy up the workspace so your bathroom is left clean and ready to use.

RECYCLE

We care about keeping waste out of the landfill. All cardboard, packaging materials, and debris from your new toilet installation are sorted and recycled properly. And if an old fixture is being replaced as part of the job, we’ll haul it away and deliver it to one of northern Colorado’s recycling centers.

Every new toilet includes…

Wax Ring

Each toilet installation includes a high-quality flangeless wax ring, selected to match your specific setup for a reliable, leak-free seal. At The Toilet Guy, we’re serious about the small stuff — we keep every wax ring within the ideal temperature range of 70 to 110 degrees before installation to prevent cracking and ensure a perfect fit every time.

Supply Line

Standard supply lines with plastic hex nuts can crack or break, sometimes leading to major water damage. That’s why we only install premium braided stainless steel supply lines with nickel-plated brass nuts and upgraded seals. These high-quality components offer long-term durability and reliable leak protection, giving you greater peace of mind.

Toilet Flange Bolts

Some installers still use 1/4-inch copper-plated bolts with standard steel hardware, a combo that’s prone to rust and long-term issues. At The Toilet Guy, we take a different approach. We install heavy-duty 5/16-inch solid brass flange bolts paired with marine-grade stainless steel hardware, delivering unmatched strength and long-lasting durability with every toilet installation.

Additional Services Available

Shut Off Valve Replacement

We can upgrade your old shut-off valve to a premium 1/4-turn ball stop valve with a brass ball and PTFE seat. This setup provides smooth operation, long-lasting reliability, and added protection in case of an emergency. We also replace the trim ring (escutcheon plate) and, if needed, the chrome nipple — leaving your bathroom looking clean and updated.

Bidets are growing in popularity across the U.S. as more people discover their hygiene and comfort benefits. We’ll install your bidet or washlet seat, connect the water supply, and make sure everything works perfectly. Whether it’s electric or non-electric, it’s a simple upgrade that makes a big difference.
