Rebuilds

A toilet rebuild is a process of replacing all of the internal components to restore its functionality and efficiency, rather than replacing the entire fixture.

Is your toilet constantly running, experiencing a weak or incomplete flush, won't stop filling or leaking? It may be time to replace or rebuild your toilet. Over time, a toilet’s internal components can deteriorate due to factors like hard water buildup, mineral deposits, chemical damage, corrosion, or natural wear and tear.

We will perform an inspection of your toilet to assess if it’s a good candidate for a rebuild. If so, we will replace all internal tank components, including the fill valve, flapper, flush valve, gaskets, and hardware, and thoroughly test it to ensure proper functionality.

Flange Repair

A toilet flange is a crucial plumbing fitting that connects the toilet to the drain pipe. A sturdy flange is essential for forming a secure seal with the wax ring, preventing dangerous sewer gases from escaping into the home, and ensuring the toilet remains firmly in place.

Common signs of a broken toilet flange include rocking, shifting, a loose toilet, water leaks, or the presence of sewer gas odors.

We will replace the damaged toilet flange with a durable PVC flange featuring a stainless steel ring, securely fastening it to the floor with marine-grade stainless steel hardware for optimal strength and corrosion resistance. Since toilet flanges are glued in place and positioned beneath the floor or embedded in concrete, some additional work may be required.

Shut Off Valve

A toilet shut-off valve controls the water flow to the toilet. Located near the base or wall, it allows you to stop water supply for repairs, maintenance or emergencies.

Homeowners often don't realize their shut-off valves are broken until it's too late, leaving them in an emergency situation. Older valves can seize in the open position, while many new homes are equipped with lower-quality “builder-grade” valves that are prone to premature failure or leaking over time.

We will install premium 1/4-turn ball stop valves with a precision-machined brass ball and PTFE seat, ensuring smooth and reliable operation, even after extended periods of inactivity. Additionally, we’ll replace your aged escutcheon plate (trim ring) and, if needed, the chrome nipple, to create a fresh, clean look.

Water Line Replacement

A toilet water line is the pipe or flexible hose that connects the toilet’s tank to the main water supply. It supplies water to the toilet tank, which is necessary for flushing.

Toilet water lines are considered a wear-and-tear item, with manufacturers recommending replacement every 5 to 8 years. An aging water line can lead to leaks, reduced water flow, and even the risk of a flood in your home if neglected.

We will replace your water line with a premium braided stainless steel line featuring upgraded seals. Unlike traditional water lines with plastic hex nuts, which can crack and lead to costly home floods, our water lines feature nickel-plated brass hex nuts, offering enhanced durability and reliable leak prevention for your peace of mind.

Clogs

A toilet clog is a blockage that prevents waste and water from flowing properly, often causing poor flushing or overflow.

Toilets can clog for a variety of reasons. Common causes include excessive toilet paper, sanitary, products, foreign objects, or underlying plumbing issues. Older low flow toilets may also contribute to clogs due to weakened flushing systems, incomplete flushes, or insufficient water flow to move was through the system. This can result in a buildup of waste or toilet paper in the pipes, eventually leading to blockages.

Sometimes, a toilet replacement or repair service can be complicated by a downstream clog that disrupts normal function. We are fully equipped to clear any clogs and restore your toilet to optimal working condition, ensuring long-term reliability and performance.

Repair FAQ

You should consider replacing a unit if it is over 20 years old, has hairline cracks, needs frequent repairs or is stained and hard to clean. Many of our clients are upgrading to ADA-compliant models which are often taller and elongated. Some people upgrade for esthetic reasons, ease of cleaning or to simply save water.

Water pooling around the base is often an indicator of a compromised wax ring, a cracked fixture or leaking tank bolts.

They typically run when you have a compromised flush valve, faulty fill valves or a hung up flapper chain.

A hairline crack can get worse over time leading to leaks, water damage, or even injuries if the bowl or tank breaks. We recommend replacing any unit with a hairline crack.

A moving or rocking sensation is typically caused by loose or rotten flange bolts or a broken flange.

A clogged vent pipe, a worn-out wax ring or bacteria buildup in the bowl are the top reasons for a bad smell when you flush.
